A Century Ahead
What might we learn, ten decades plus
If we haven’t learned to love
There’ll be nothing left of us
One skin color, sure to be
No kaleidoscope of race
With just one community
Improbable but maybe, we will know
Despite religion, we are the same
There’s room for all to grow
And if another century finds us still alive
Let’s just pray that
Animals and trees still can survive
Have I lost all hope, I really don’t think so
Yet it seems we were the same
One hundred years ago
