A Built In Clock

Dogs are smart they know When they need a snack Let outside in the yard They know supper time Their stomachs tell them When they want to play Or lay on the couch to rest When it is time for sleep When it is cheese time With a hidden pill When it is bed time Barking letting them know To go to bed early in the eve Dogs have a built in clock They follow every day have Dogs have their owners trained

Rightly said, the animals do have a built in clock. They know the exact time when food will be served. Same behaviours about their food time observed in birds too. God bless you.

Woe betide us humans if we should be late on the walks or dinner, they surely let us know, and a sleeping dog is a happy dog for both dog and human alike, rest time before they have us humans up and running again, lovely poem, Darlene . . . : )

I do say that built in clock does sometimes drives me crazy. I own a Yorkie, and he is always at my ankles to let me known he wants something. You are always such a welcome person, Darlene, thank you for that; it always blooms my day with joy.

They do train us...knowing our hearts -- and our capacity to love; but, no love greater than theirs, many having given their lives for us, a loyalty, in many ways, far surpassing our own for one and another. This is a great write my friend. Your poetry just continues to grow and excell. Blessings!
