A Broken Pledge
Your heart will always burn with desire since you have left me
Your soul will ache with pain wanting me back again
You have broken the oath we both took on our wedding day
You did not only give me your pledge to love me but also to God
How could you take this pledge so lightly?
When together we had our children, how could you do this to us?
We struggled together for some many years and through so many tears
You have no honor in what you have done
You have become a disgrace to both God and I
I will shed no more tears for you but, I will ask God to forgive you
We are no longer one you have split our hearts in two
You will never feel my lips touch yours
You will never touch my soul again
You will never have to say goodbye to me, ever again.
