A Breathe of Autumn

Breathe in hues of scarlet passion
Whispers of lavender sent to grace
The dance of fire that imagines
Songs of hope coming down from heaven
Erasing the worries, strife and anger
Coloring the world in shades of joy
Assuring hearts that there are new
Moments to compare with the haze
That surrounds night in darkest black
With moonbeams beckoning through
Shadowy starlight, caressing mysteries
Felt in the thick surface of melancholy
Riding thunder and lightening through
The hollow sighs of an autumn night
Where heaven’s embrace soothes the
Spirit and sings a hymn of inspiration
Through the love song of autumn’s favor
Fulfilling dreams that make their way
To the surface of thoughts that summon
God’s love to course through the veins
Of crimson leaves that dance across
The surface of a crunchy earth that pines
For the summer joys, now so far behind
