A Breath of Fresh Air

Chicago's electing a new mayor Will she be a breath of fresh air? Will she improve the schools? Will she reduce violent crime? Will she fight neighborhood blight? Will she balance the budget? Will she slay the bureaucratic dragon? Well, the issues are surely important But first she has to claw at her fellow female candidate, like the fiercest of alley-cats tearing her opponent's reputation to ribbons thereby providing the electorate with A REAL CHOICE FOR A CHANGE

Isn't that what they all do, tarnish their opponents. If you're a politician you gotta make sure youre squeaky clean. That's why im not a politician lol.

Squeaky clean, eh?! --- I do remember Squeaky Fromme, though. (She shot Ronald Reagan in 1981, I think).... Prior thereto last squeaky (clean) pol was Brutus, I think. And you know how 'clean' he was at the end! LOL. Thanks for the comment, Tom!! :) gw

It's either that (a catty campaign) or a rat race to the finish line. LOL. Thanks, Maureen! :) gw

Good luck with that, Gershon. It is refreshing to hear optimism and politics in the same sentence.
