A Bad Day All Around

I determined to take seize
of a lightning bolt! Paused
at every tree. Flashed and
thundered all about – stood
by every metal post, just
to see if God wanted me.
Went to the nearest church…
prayed for a voice or sign:
and from behind the altar
heard a gulping sound,
pastor draining the sacrament
wine. Not a good day.

Quite funny! I am sure you wanted everyone to have a light moment. Still the pastor draining the sacrament wine is unpardonable.

Certain he had a terrible hangover...we get what we deserve. All in fun. I think, God forgives. Otherwise, I am in deep doo-doo. Have a great writing day, Valsa. Blessings.

Once in awhile is good for the soul. Can't drink the beer anymore. Too much acid for me. Was my favorite. Well...one I can get away with -- but not enough fun in that:) Blessings my friend.

Made me giggle, my friend. I hope this was just light poetry, and not your real day. If real, a confusing sign. Bill

Hi Bill. Yea, just light poetry, for a laugh. I think, all of us, now and then, get a day when we feel a dark cloud is following us around. About 2 months ago, I had, transmission on car die, air conditioner quit, and refrigerator start leaking, all on the same day. All OK now! Light stuff, when one thinks of those poor folks ravaged by floods. Blessings my friend.

A bit funny! Oh my! He should have cleared his head and said out loud to the pastor, “Are you kidding me right now!” Fave

All ended good. Father and I, by mid afternoon, were singing Irish Drinking songs, and with some spirited nuns did a couple Irish Jigs, all clean, good natured fun. Just kidding. No hate mail from anyone, please.
