A Passing Thought Half written

Time passes with nail's half bitten a poem fully written
This poem is still not written in my mind and in my thoughts
a passing thought of beauty, as the sun crowns slowly departs into the west horizon with blazing pillars of light cirrus clouds on either side feathering out like angel wings as the moon traces behind like a puppy dog on a leash still, in a gorgeous sky-blue background a vision not often seen half written, in number two pencil in a spiral notebook with the red front cover closed forgotten. 10/5/2022

I love seeing the moon when it is already up during the daytime. That is a rare occurrence and a pleasant surprise when it does happen... I enjoyed reading these lovely lines, Eve. So glad you finally shared them with us... Best wishes for the contest!

The poem is lovely Eve, and now at last it’s written even though it’s only halfway there the words are beautiful that you share… Belle

"as the moon traces behind like a puppy dog on a leash" ..... Beautiful comparison. Sometimes the night sky stirs our imagination so much and we start to write a poem, but fails to complete. It so happens very often !Beautifully put, Eve !

So interesting to ponder the unwritten poems, and what they might have become, Eve. Thank you for sharing. :)

What a wonderful poem on our "unwritten, half finished" poems. This is so filled with that yearning to find completeness and longing for a wholeness of inspiration. And I love the notebook reference. Mine has a green cover! Best wishes for the contest. I, too, write with a #2 pencil. Blessings dear friend.

I like this, Eve. A written/half-written/unfinished poem, but aren’t all unfinished?

Occasionally I get snippets of ideas but they never blossom.
