' the Kind Knight ... '

The Young Knight Stood By The River …
His Reflections, Deep In Thought
Tho’ the Water, Was As A Mirror
His Appearance, Was Not What He Sought

They Said, This Place Was Special
And in Truth, and in Beauty, So Twas'
And Sturgeon Below the Surface Was Plentiful
But He Was Here, For A Higher Cause

In Truth, He Would Not Hurt A Lamb
Tho’ He Was Bold and Brave and Strong
Twas’ A Year Whence, He Slayed His First Man
And From Thence, He Vowed, He’d Do Nay Wrong

So, He Came Here, To Commune With Nature
And Pledge Penance For The Bloodguilt-Crime
For He Bare The Burden of Censure
And Needed Ease for His Remorseful Mind

And In The Clearing, By The River
Where A Doe and A Hare Did Graze
He Looked O’er His Woolen-Clad Shoulder
And A Soft, Mist Breeze Seemed To Say …

‘ You Are Forgiven, Young Knight
You Are Forgiven Everything
You Have Borne, Your Blame-Plight
And Your Conscious Has Paid Penalty

You Are Forgiven, Young Knight
You Are Forgiven Everything
And This Is How You Will Know, ‘Tis Alright
Whence Innocence, To Thy Side Will Bring … ‘

... And The Doe Came To Nuzzle His Hand
And The Hare, Hopped and Stayed by His Feet
And The Son of the Man, He had Slain, Ran …
to him and said, “Sire, Kill The Doe and Hare and Let’s Eat ! …

MoonBee..... (large sigh) this poem...... reaches so far into the labyrinth of my soul ..... it's like you are a palm reader of the soul..... I felt every line! no space here to elaborate... from the bowels of gangland to rescue my sister, to pinnacles of corruption, I've been there, and yes, now the Lord forgives me, (my poem 'forgiven' was personal!) thanks again, truly a fav of mine, your friend, jimmy james jimbo goff

Light poetry, MoonBee, but a knight of a story. Very good job, I am sure James will like it. Sincerely, Love, Moses
