The color palette has changed of the world . painters wispy brush clouds line clear calm sky. Day is cold and dry, Fine snow starts to fall. Plants have ceased budding bent, spilling over yet passion, fragrant, unadorned jasmine, honeysuckle vine, knit wooden arbor. untiring starlings, early mourning doves move the day with their inviting singing and soft coo-OO-oo throughout the chill day. Ardent breath, note traced of love, a heart shape onto cold window. 1/6/2024

I'll bet that you are artistic Eve. I love the kind of winter day where the snowflakes are very large and fall slowly. I agree with Ink below, your poem is eloquent, and to me delightful. Robins are starting to appear here in the northeast who are slowly bringing spring soon. They will be welcomed by your 'wintery' poem birds. Something to look forward to. :)

you painted such a beautiful picture, Eve, aptly describing winter with some outstanding lines. Nature's resilience reminds me of what Camus once said, "In the midst of winter I finally learned I was invincible." We, like nature, survive these cold days. I loved the uplifting ending. Have a great evening, hugs, Sara

Oh wow.. This is like a serene painting of glacial ambience from the painter's brush! You've so delicately knitted those wintry textures here, how the flowers fade beneath the cloak of snow and yet, their fascinating fragrances still enchant our hearts! "unadorned jasmine, honeysuckle vine, knit wooden arbor. untiring starlings, early mourning doves move the day with their inviting singing" Ahh, what a gorgeous write, dear Eve! I absolutely loved reading this so much, especially that ending too :)
