In My Strange Lane
A side in which I once used to believe
I’m seeing these days in another light.
How skillfully they practice to deceive.
I look both ways, and neither way seems right.
How sad to see no side for which to fight!
Inside a Twilight Zone – in my strange lane
I travel, trying not to have disdain
for those who fall for the lies I’m hearing.
I’m praying in the end that good will reign
despite what up ahead is appearing.
