In My Strange Lane

A side in which I once used to believe I’m seeing these days in another light. How skillfully they practice to deceive. I look both ways, and neither way seems right. How sad to see no side for which to fight! Inside a Twilight Zone – in my strange lane I travel, trying not to have disdain for those who fall for the lies I’m hearing. I’m praying in the end that good will reign despite what up ahead is appearing. May 14, 2020 for the Dizain Poetry Contest Sponsor: Dear Heart

Ambivalence, questioning and discernment - a process you thoughtfully describe here, Andrea. I think it is incumbent on us to continue to extract the good in people and events. Well said, my friend. Congratulations on your high placement!

An excellent expression of what's going on in the world and in your heart. Keep believing in the good within people and that good will reign throughout these trying times. We'll done, my friend.

The eternal challenge we face - but as long as you confront the pain of a change of view, you live in the present and approach the truth. What I just said, now sounds pretentious - sorry! You have expressed it much better, Andrea

I have a belief that "good will reign" also; it is what He wants us to believe, I believe.

That undying faith you have in the goodness of noble hearts feeds them the power to sustain the deceptions. No doubt, in the end good will reign. :)

Here, here! Neither side has any credibility. Time to hang our hats exclusively on Heaven! Nicely penned, Andrea. Felt the frustration. :) gw
