Blank

Yesterday as I was watching TV, something suddenly occurred to me. (blank) is something I haven’t written about; it is time I do so, I have no doubt. In this day and age that we live, no one admits mistakes or is willing to forgive. With social media and so much info online, (blank) tends to put a dull on our shine. When we are trying to make a name for ourselves, win many awards, or put trophies on the shelves, Our integrity is sometimes clouded by (blank); our concerns are more about money in the bank. I say we need to take a look at our lives, And eliminate (blank) if we want to survive. And what is (blank) you ask of me; Fill in the blank with what you want it to be.

I haven't had a chance to read all of your poems yet, but this one if one of the favorites so far. I think I enjoy personification the most out of the different styles that you write here. It seems to flow more like a story to me. It feels like free flowing. I like that I can fill in the (__) here. Kudos!

This was one of the first poems I wrote. I thought it was clever of me to allow the reader to decide what I was writing about by filling in the (blank) themselves. Glad you enjoyed it.

I absolutely LOVE this! I have to fill in the blank with the word "doubt" for I think that is what this poem is about. :)

When I set out to write this poem I couldn’t decide what bad trate I wanted to write about so I did it this way so that the reader could decide; just the way my mind works some times.

This is unique and clever, John. I decided to try lower on your poetry page to find something I had not seen before and I struck gold! I honestly can't think how to fill in the blank. hahaha

Andrea, thank you for taking the time to read some of my older posts. Some of the poems I posted back then I felt pretty good about but I never got many comments; when I wrote this particular one I was not in a very serious mood, just writing for fun. Your encouragement and support mean a great deal to me. A BIG thank you, Andrea!

Hi Kim, I was in a strange humorous kind of mood that night, I think my muse was confused. :) Thanks for your visit. John

Darlene, we all have different thoughts to fill the blanks with; I can think of several. Thank you for your comments my friend!

A theme of great echoes, laudable imagery, rhyme, rhythm with Ambiguity and Repetition Sisterhood of Blank. It reminds me of Momo (a novel by Michel Ende) about a story teller girl and the Grey Gentlemen . Also Pollyanna (novel of Ann Porter, and old Tv serial) teaching the play of happiness... Theodor Adorno (speaking of culture industry, fetishism, consumerism, commodity ) may show a sense of the future based on hope (even kind of utopia) and truth justifying a real philosophy.
