19 Masks of Disappointment
When i was 19 i wish i had
a mask to hide my age behind
As i thought 19 year's of age was old
Now fast forward 19 further long
year's along gone
Through no choice of my own
i am forced to wear a mask again
To mask the effects of
Covid-19 to be worn at an
acceptable social distance
In order to protect my 19 month old
new born baby
And disappointment at not being
able to kiss her and tell her 19 times
or more
Nightey night queen
God bless
Sweet dreams
Daddy loves you more than
all the sliced bread in the world
that has ever ben baked and sliced
