A poor old man
without family, wife or children
He was fond of plants and trees
Especially oak trees
The oak was the king among the trees
He wanted to plant his family
Early one Monday morning he planted his first tree
On Tuesday he planted number two
On Wednesday he planted number three
On Thursday he planted number four
Friday, he was tired but he planted number five
Saturday came and he planted two beautiful oak trees
On Sunday the old man would rest
Seven old oak trees
planted like a castle
They are hollow, empty space inside
No one can count their growth rings
The shell of the oak is a protection against rain,
wind, cold and sun
The roots are strong
and the branches are long and many
They are planted with love
