         ~ no one can feel poor ... if we color the day yellow ~ my quote

                                   Sunflower a sun-crowned queen
                                breathtaking ballad with swan songs
                             Her reflection of the color yellow is unique
                             symbolizing happiness and indestructibility

                             Walking through a meadow of sunflowers
                                 rustling against thighs, eyes smiling
                                 in an oasis of love, cheek to cheek

                             The Queen made me love yellow flowers
                                      Graceful with a honey glow
                                    showering in her glistening kiss
                                         in the summer twilight
                                   Humble prayer with bowed head

This poem speaks to me. I grow heaps of marigolds as they flower nearly all year here and I think a touch of yellow is the icing on the cake for a garden. Love this one Anne-Lise. Stay safe and well, David in NZ

You must have been kidding when you said you prefer short poems. This is truly impeccable. I also have a poem where iv written “ sun crowned “ and something about sunflowers just makes my heart beam. You must be also an artist, as your words are so descriptive , like a gorgeous painting. One of my fav definitely
