                                       Of faithful flowers
                                 who tasted the sun briefly
                                       A rich fertile time
                               Beyond happiness and cheer -
                               grain nods in the blowing wind

Anne-Lise, you know just what to focus in on that so many of us can relate to. Yes, you so adroitly point out that the intensity of sunlight during the summer was of short duration. The way you do it by referring to tasting just makes me smile broadly. A sheer pleasure to read.
