The music she makes to forget her pain, only draws her into a world where she cannot see a thing.:

No one can see it, but it is there Dark and cold ... as wet thick fog The thoughts go crazy A sad melody replay Fight with a sword, vision failed Drowning in mournful tears Kills the inside of the chest With fear of death lullaby Always fighting, demon of the deadly sins Give the crying heart something to live for 19.03.2017 Sun :) - A-L Andresen :) Copyright © All Rights Reserved

Hello Dear Anne-Lise!! Best Easter Holiday Wishes from Ingrid and me. My original earlier comments below on "Sad Violin" still apply, of course, on this marvelous free verse write. It's indeed a very well-rendered verse with its aura of distinct sadness and emotion. I'm very pleased to see it made the "Best New Poems List." Again, Blessed Easter Wishes from Ingrid and me!! Cheers, Gary

Dear Anne-Lise, This one's an instant FAV for me!! The words in your verses, against the backdrop of the sad lady playing the violin, amplify the raw emotion and sadness of the situation you're describing. Every verse in your write gives the reader a palpable image to cling to. A magnificent write for sure!! Cheers and Best, Gary

Hello Anne. Good Morning. Usually no one can see. You have described this quiet pain perfectly. And yes also perfect is the sad violin to fit the mood and situation. Well done and understandable.

Sunshine...the depth of emotion and struggle are clearly transmitted to the reader. We all need something to live for....and conversely...something to die for.

Your words speak in a melancholy abstract voice that supplies the catalyst to spark further thought, like the crying strings of a sad violin, Emile.

Beautiful imagery, beautiful words Anne-Lise. I can hear the violin, the sad sweet notes, I grew up hearing my dad play, and it was wonderful. A big 7+
