Christmas Tizzy 12 lines or less Poetry Contest
Sponsored by: Miranda Hawley

2nd place in the contest

No one had seen Rudolf for weeks He was wanted via loudspeakers and flyers "This is the moment where everything changes", Santa Claus said Christmas Eve was approaching, there was nothing more to do It came news from the University Hospital of Northern Norway Poor Rudolf, lay for three weeks with a broken leg Swelling and loss of movement - it was just hopeless The plaster cast was heavy - he couldn't fly home Rudolf was sent home by air ambulance, in a comfortable bed On Christmas Eve he sat in the sleigh together with Santa Claus Even with a broken leg he was able to overcome the obstacle Rudolf's red nose has become a symbol of Christmas for everyone

Ahhh!!! Poor Rudolf. I see he arose to the occasion and Santa will be on time not like packages that need to be delivered via FedX, UPS and the US post office. Thanks for sharing this creative story with us. Sara K

Poor Rudolph, laid up, but his cute red blinker nose is well-known and needed by Santa!

A keeping it real Christmas story:) True Christmas spirit -- No shortage of sleds and Santa's in Norway I joyfully imagine. Climate a lot like New York where I am originally from. Wishing you and yours, Anne, a blessed Christmas. Lots of cookies and hot chocolate for Santa and His crew upon return. Sign Rudolf's cast adding one of your delightful poems.

Dear Anne-Lise, I loved it! "Even with a broken leg he was able to overcome the obstacle" Rudolf showed the perseverance in the face of adversity. A fun read this morning, Merry Christmas, My Dear Friend, Daniel
