Is the snowman an extinct species? In my childhood he was common to find in most gardens. Kept a bit discreet in the background, -unforgettable memories A gradual disappearance. He did not leave behind a large fortune just an worn hat one carrot and a puddle. Sitting here reminiscing.

With rise in temperature, snowman easily dissipates leaving a few carrot pieces and a hat behind. People must be making snowmen as before. But sadly they do not survive. I greatly enjoyed your cute poem. Love and hugs!

Anne-Lise, I wonder why people don't build as many these days? I wonder. Perhaps too much screen time and not enough outdoor playing? I'm uncertain, but you've made me smile indeed! Smiles!

A cute poem, Anne. We have no real snowmen in Malta. We don't get snow. Maybe we're lucky. Hugs.

Yep, all snowmen die. It is good that we can always build another.

There should be plenty of snowmen in north America this week. Snow and brutal cold a plenty

Kids are all playing video games. Probably making virtual snowmen. Sigh

- We have a lot of snow and cold ... but no snowmen are to be seen ... even though there are many children ... no one is out playing in the snow ... - Thank you for your comment, Tom :) - hugs

Since I live in a desert with never many opportunities to experience snow, snowmen are a rarity to us. I lived in New York as a little child with lots of snow. My dad had made an ice skating patch in our yard for my siblings and friends. It is sad to think that the world is changing. Children really don't play like they once did. We have had a few opportunities to make snowmen in the past, they were so much fun.

I completely agree with you, Anne-Lise! Unfortunately, snowmen are becoming increasingly scarce these days. One of the many consequences of climate change is the extinction of this species. Making one was always a blast!
