time and sands move
yet we think and dwell
why is life a bed of nails
why are all windows closed
where are the butterflies
where is the light
our mosaic life reveals
flooding rains
dead end roads
where are birds of spring
where are church bells that ring
as moons transition to suns
behold such a moment
passing of the torch
passing of light
closed windows open
birds of spring sing
