Dancers Minus Makeup

I
Dark, grey, twilight magic
On a day of threats
Rain, wintry kind, cold
Those who ventured out
Perhaps cajoled by brilliant & fading colors
Enjoyed Nature's artistry, high canvas:
Less bright & gilded clouds
Yet nourishment for imagination

II
Such painted skies point upwards -
To body, mind, Spirit
Whatever the news - for families, bad
( Crime overall, & locally, drug business)
Apt, then, the fading light said:
Enjoy these dancers a bit longer
But we packed the stage effects. We're off, now!
Soulful clouds danced, minus makeup, to cheer me
