That's a beautifully compact meditation on night, Joe—so much layered in just a few lines. I especially love the contrast between darkness for intimacy and guiding light from the stars. It feels both personal and universal. Thanks for sharing this gem!

God made all intimacy, I like to imagine...intimacy with each other leading to intimacy with the wider Universe. Baby steps toward greater Loving Truth. My hope.

Night covers and unravels., illuminates and darkens.... so antithetical. Yet intimacy grows in the silent hours of night! But wandering in the open on a starry night is more exciting. Lovely poem, dear Joe.
