Notes About The Poem

Idyllic

"God did not create darkness. Darkness is the absence of light. He did not create hate. Hate is the absence of love. Darkness and hate therefore, are the absence of God." ~ by poet

Kept apart by time, miles, and circumstance, their sweet reunion quivers with passion. Seen distantly across the bridge, they ran. Teeth, lips, and bodies collide, devouring. Laughter between kisses, that look of love... hands caress faces, hair, thumb brushing lips. Skies break, thunder applauds, and storm clouds weep. The clean scent of cool rain upon hot skin... Steam hisses from this idyllic love scene. Their embrace declares true love without words.

Hi Crystol A great poem that captures the element idyllic, as the two lovers meet and their passion is theirs alone. Congrats on your win Cheers Christine

Sensual and cinematic—this poem pulses with longing and release. The final line ties it all together with quiet, powerful resonance.

Thank you Gershon... you've given me a new word! I looked it up...I didn't realize i had done that lol! The reasoning can go further into evil being the absence of good...God did not create evil. Evil exists in the absence of God.

love your quote at the beginning...it spoke to me as did your poem. Loved your take on 'idyllic.'

Now that's a reunion worth waiting for! And I love your quote. Death is the ultimate separation from God. The resurrection will be a blessing on multiple levels - Acts 24:15. Sweet romance on this one Crystol

Yess!!!!! I came to the same conclusion after much study and prayer. Hebrews 12? Says God is a consuming fire. Ezekiel 28 describes the judgement passed on Satan being burned too ashes from within, completely devoured. We know that those who chose the second death will follow Satan into the lake of fire which is to be burned too ashes according to Ezekiel. So glad to be on the same page with someone on that. Xo

Same as Gehenna, ie, eternal destruction. Oblivion. Non existence

Thank you! Yess, the second death(of the soul) is complete and utter death. Rev.20:6-14, 2:11,21:8. But those who take part in the first or second resurrection will not see the second death! praise God! There are many interpretations on what the lake of fire actually is and I've done some studying on it. What is your understanding? If you want to share that with me, feel free to soup mail or message on fb. Thanks again! Xoxo
