red and evergreen
bushes proudly displayed, joy
marriage's first kiss
**I got married in December and the church was full of poinsettias....it was so beautiful.

Olive wore a wedding dress of lilac voile
Her groom gave a beaming smile
When she glided down the aisle
Peter persistently proposed… Peter’s patience prevailed!

Winter Widow Wordplay
whimsical windswept whiteness
wedding weekend wanderlust
willowy wonderland waltz
wrongfully weathered woe
wintry wishful whispers
wrestling woodland wintertide
welcome waxen wallflower
weeping wheezy widow
whimpering wholeheartedly
wrangling worthless worries
wanton wretched wrongdoing
wedged within wickedness

My Daughters Wedding Day
December twentieth two thousand and three,
A day to remember in my memory.
The day that my daughter, the light of my life,
Will walk down the aisle, to become someone’s wife.
And I shall be proud as I walk by her side,
The father of such a beautiful bride.
The groom will be waiting, best man by his side,
And lips will be bitten, eyes trying not to cry.
Vows they will both make “I do “both will say,
On this, my daughters wedding day.
Proud we’ll both stand, her mother and me,
And remember the time that they were we.
Winter Wonderland Reception
A couple got married in the Winter Wonderland
For the reception they hired a mariachi band
They danced a Spanish jig,
Then left in a borrowed rig
Stiffing the poor caterer because the food was bland.

A December Wedding
The wedding date was set
December you bet
The fifteenth was their great plan
All stained-glass window sills
Poinsettias thrills
Candelabras glowing stand
Pink, green, and burgundy
Pink roses artfully
In boutineers for young man
The bride and groom's love shone
As pictures snapped time flown
The end came for camera's span
The couple on their way
Handsome groom did repay
Rose given mom by leading man

Sweet Paulette with sparkling eyes
How marvelous to take you for my bride
I say my solemn vows; I hear your sighs
Sweet Paulette with sparkling eyes
Your lovely vows, I shall memorize
I will always have you by my side
Sweet Paulette with sparkling eyes
How marvelous to take you for my bride.
