Obviously, you've got to make the chase first, so first things first - get in the chase. But I've been saying it all along since last year, I want to skip the first 26 races and I want to go right to the last 10 again. That's where they pay the money. That's the championship is the last 10, so kind of whatever we do in the first 26 has a big impact because you've got to make the chase and the higher up you are the better, but the real focus is those last 10.

My belief all along is the unemployment rate is the key to consumer behavior, ... A 4.5 percent unemployment rate would be more than a half a percentage point above the low of 3.9 percent. If unemployment goes up a half percentage point from its trough, you almost always get a recession subsequently in the next 12 months. There is a snowballing effect that begins to happen once you get too much past that size increase. While it might take a nice round 5.0 percent rate before people get panicked, the snow may already be rolling over them by then.

Every revolutionary idea seems to evoke three stages of reaction. They may be summed up by the phrases: (1) It's completely impossible. (2) It's possible, but it's not worth doing. (3) I said it was a good idea all along.

We know where most of the creativity, the innovation, the stuff that drives productivity lies--in the minds of those closest to the work. It's been there in front of our noses all along while we've been running around chasing robots and reading books on how to become Japanese--or at least manage like them.

People will then often say, But surely it's better to remain an Agnostic just in case?' This, to me, suggests such a level of silliness and muddle that I usually edge out of the conversation rather than get sucked into it. (If it turns out that I've been wrong all along, and there is in fact a god, and if it further turned out that this kind of legalistic, cross-your-fingers-behind-your-back, Clintonian hair-splitting impressed him, then I think I would choose not to worship him anyway.)

All along, the administration vowed their policies would be painless,

Within the last couple of months, she's really started hitting with power. We've been working on her swing all along and getting more and more into it and feeling more comfortable with it. Second, the conditioning program that she is personally involved in is helping her a lot.

We read advertisements to discover and enlarge our desires. We are always ready -- even eager -- to discover, from the announcement of a new product, what we have all along wanted without really knowing it.

Once -- many, many years ago -- I thought I made a wrong decision. Of course, it turned out that I had been right all along. But I was wrong to have thought that I was wrong.

With a show like 'Desperate Housewives,' one of the benefits is you get to turn it into charity things. We've been doing it all along. But now, this one is staring us in the face because it's so immediate.

I have been truthful all along the way. The truth is more interesting, and if you tell the truth you never have to cover your tracks.

Luke 6:8:
But Jesus knew what they were thinking and said to the man with the shriveled hand, 'Get up and stand in front of everyone.' So he got up and stood there.
(NIV)
But He was aware all along of their thoughts, and He said to the man with the withered hand, Come and stand here in the midst. And he arose and stood there.
(AMP)
But he knew their thoughts, and said to the man which had the withered hand, Rise up, and stand forth in the midst. And he arose and stood forth.

Every revolutionary idea - in science, politics, art, or whatever - evokes three stages of reaction in a hearer: 1.It is completely impossible - don't waste my time. 2.It is possible, but it is not worth doing. 3. I said it was a good idea all along.

The only thing I learned from his books is that once the word is written it's going to be held against you for the next hundred years, ... All along I thought this is not my story about living in Provence; it's a woman coming to terms with changing circumstances against a backdrop that happens to be Provence.

That's the way things come clear. All of a sudden. And then you realize how obvious they've been all along.

He proved what we've been saying all along, that this has become more about politics than it is about policy.

I will remember always that marriage, like life, is a journey - not a destination - and that its treasures are found not just at the end but all along the way.
