The Moon's Duty
An eye has been gazing at us In the midst of the starry night Its lens is always beauteous Soothing and being ever so bright
Some nights it would sleep leaving us to go astray Its brightening gaze will not creep To guide us the way
Lens glances west and east Sure to Watch each corners For it might reveal, the beast
who lurks under our waters
