On the spindle of midday and midnight the world turns,/ bullets sear,bombs fall and hunger burns,/imperfect this world since the fall of man/ it shall be made whole, his eternal plan.

Quiet Time With God

Ah, Quiet time with God shall be spent in solitude;
Still calm hushed wholesome how we're subdued;
On our prayers for always His children how true;
Peace serenity tranquility God calms my views;
I trust in Him as I hush within some find it odd;
Calm hushed peaceful serenity still doing His will;
Subdued alone I will always spent time wit God;
Rush, in my God's arm I'm in light my life your will;
Hush, In my mind tranquil and calmly vested;
Rush, so quietly spoken to you Lord I trust in;
Asking for forgiveness longevity of life ever so somberly;
I close my eyes spent quiet time me I with God honesty;
I stop stilled inhaled listening for still small voice;
Spending quietness with God shall be my choice;

QUIET TIME WITH GOD

In the quiet time of the evening at the end of the day
I hold communion with God while I kneel down to pray
He listens intently with kind, loving care
As I come humbly before His Throne in prayer

He knows all my needs before I even speak
And I marvel at how He can be so unique
As to take time to listen to my every word
And leave me with the assurance that I know He has heard

I recall how in darkness I wandered about
My life filled with bitterness, anger and doubt
But then I made Jesus the Lord of my life
When I learned through His death, He bore all my strife

So now in the evening when I am alone
I take all my burdens to His Holy Throne
And there as I pray, I'm filled with His Grace
I'm thankful that one day, I'll look on His face

He'll stretch forth His arms and welcome me home
To live in His Glory, never more to roam
So, you see, I am thankful to know I have trod
The road that leads me to a quiet time with God

A PLACE CALLED HEAVEN

There's a place above with streets of gold
With mansions so sublime
I'm going there, and I've been told
We won't keep track of time

There's only one way to get there
Just believe in God's only Son
Through His death, you are a joint-heir
But you're not the only one

He came and died to save the world
And everyone therein
His banner of love has been unfurled
And frees us all from sin

So,today, if you don't know Him
Just pray this simple prayer
Lord, I know my life is filled with sin
But, Lord, I know You care

So please come into my heart today
And wash away my sin
And I will live just as You say
Because You dwell within”

God a Cricket and Me

No one in this old church but God, a cricket and me,
How lonely his calls seem to be,
No one answers the cricket’s calls,
Only his echoes off the walls.

Just God, a cricket and me.

There is no choir singing,
Or church bells ringing,
No pastor preaching,
Nor teacher teaching.

Just God, a cricket and me.

This cricket seems to be searching for past masses,
As under the old cross he passes,
No brides, no babies, no mourners does he see, No sounds, no prayers or any jubilee.

Just God, a cricket and me.

It is as if he were speaking to the Lord, Without the use of a single word,
I can feel that God hears his call,
As he hears the prayers of us all.

Just God, a cricket and me.

As the cricket’s chirps fill the room,
Gone are my fears and gloom,
For I know God loves him as small as he may be, They way God also loves me.

Just God, a cricket and me

THE HAND OF GOD

When I behold the rising of a new days' sun,

Or glorious sunset when the day is done,

Or view the majestic moon rising o'er the dell,

I see the Hand of God at work and know that all is well.

It is He who waters the earth with life-sustaining rain,

To nourish all the fruits and fields of golden grain.

He renders the bountiful harvest across the verdant plain;

'Tis surely the Hand of God attending His vast domain!

Who but He could have formed the mighty mountain peaks,

Pristine lakes, flowing rivers and gently rippling creeks!

It is He who adorns the trees in gold and scarlet every Fall;

'Tis surely the Hand of God that wrought this celestial ball!

I see the Hand of God when a mother cuddles her newborn child;

When the babe first peered at mother's face and sweetly smiled.

He has boundless love for all creatures be they great or small;

'Tis surely the gentle Hand of God that governs over all.

When I regard the stars or a comet as across the sky it speeds,

How can I not stand in awe of His matchless deeds!

Tho' there is so much about the universe I'll never understand;

This I know for sure - 'tis the creation of the Master's hand!

My lord, my father, please forgive me. I know throughout my life I have sinned, but believe in you my father, I have. My trust in you and knowing that you have been by my side, I kneel before you...I thank you, lord.

I thank you for your forgiveness to not only me but to everyone. I have bitten the other side of the apple and passed it along to others, forgive me lord.

I know you are watching me while I lay here with my eyes closed and my head upon my pillow, but if you should taketh me to the high heavens with you tomorrow, or tonight, I will be forever grateful for my time here on earth that you have given to me so that I was able to touch so many with the love that you have given to me. I thank you, lord.

This collaboration you have brought upon to us is a beautiful thing, I thank you, lord.

But as you know, this is not the first time, your sons and daughters have been collaborating since the beginning of time and I know you have heard our cries, our prayers, and our trusts in you, my lord.

There has been countless books to read about you, many gathering places, churches, temples, and even in our own homes. All of these places are great places to be as we express our love and trust in you. But I do know as well , my lord.

That we need not be in any of these places to show our faith in you. All we really need is some quiet time with god, you my father. I thank you, lord.

Quiet Time With God

With solemn intent

Lord, I come to you now

For time earnestly spent

God, I humbly bow

Not a sound must I make

No notions fail to be heard

With soul's refuse at stake

And weary pretense deferred

May my faith give me strength

And my love render hope

Excuse the shadows their length

To assure beauty its scope. Amen...
