Time is a Machete
Facing the light I feel a pull
From the dark
I’ll keep on until the shaking stops
It’s all about the conquest
I feed on hearts that are
Wounded by self-inflicted
Accidents
A result of the machete swinging blindly
Aiming for the root of the stalk
And missing the mark
