Buck up that chin and break-out that grin
Remember-not your sins but those that are your friends
A new year is almost here
Forget your dissensions and others' transgressions
The time is to begin-again,
And think-not what could have been

I think you do not mean it that way but the second line to me reads as if you are suggesting the reader remember the sins of friends.
