well lyric man It seems most of us are readers or writers but not repliers.
I notice there are a lot of views to my poems but only a few of them have a response to them.
I guess I'm to be thankful they're being read at all.
I am viewin g other poet's pages and leaving feedback on the poems that move me or impact me somehow.
I just try to be patient and continue reading and will share more evnetually. As I'm still writing new ones and have 36 years worth of poetry filed away either on my pc or in drawers.

Poetry Soup is a great cloud service for storing my poems, and I do write reviews.

I must confess that I am always a little dubious about sites like PoetrySoup. It sometimes seems that all people really want is for you to read - and COMMENT - on their work but will never return the favor. There ought to be an environment of give and take, not just take. How does it even make sense when a person gets sixty reads but not a single comment. I personally write on this site in order for people to read what I have written and give me their honest opinion (I really mean that) good or bad. Advice may not be agreeable to the writer, but it should be food for thought. Readers ought to comment more and help other writers out.

I have only seen one small negative comment as I strum through the forum comments. It was nice that another member called him on it as WELL AS AGREED with the constructive part of his criticism. Sometimes we get stuck and need someone to tell us where we went off the track. I've been told to rewrite a poem but keep the best lines or that a poem is really three different one's. This is constructive and helpful.
Name calling or acting like some one is stupid in the way a poem was written IS NOT HELPFUL nor the way to teach or learn. I think we have to remember that someone here could be 22 or 85. You don't know! Their picture may be when they were very young or may be their parent's. An old voice can come from a very young person and vice versa! I hope folks are teachers and friends to each other b/c Forum is "under the skin" where we can grow and work. When we publish a finished product, it IS finished and the person is putting on their Sunday Best and sharing it! All we can do is comment on what we love! However, Forum is a place for unfinished worked. It is a place for process. I am hoping it is a creative environment where we can all teach, learn, and share!

HELP MEMBERS WHAT DO I DO? IM NOT IGNORING YOU. HELP TEAM PLEASE! I'm not really sure if their is a boken link or a computer glitch! I CANNOT OPEN, READ,OR REPLY to my Soup Email. I could the first day but now it is nonfunctional! It doyes allow me to check letters, they turn green...from there, it just blinks quickly and goes back to unchecked. This is if I check them all or one at a time, push subject or received. It doesn't matter...nothing opens to my Soup Mail Link. I feel sad b/c I'm new to PS. The messages are stacking up. We are not to be too personal under our comments but I have no were to answer them but under their poems. This needs fixing or looking into. I've already checked my Server, signal et al. Cannot find anything. I just don't get my mail! Edlynn Nau

Hi Team. No abuse seen but, how can I "Have fun and keep PoetrySoup a haven" if I or anyone else cannot make comments? For example, This is what I see on my page: " Copyright © 2015 Rainbow Promise Post Comments Poet has turned off commenting. Premium feature"
What does turning off commenting mean? Is Commenting a Premium Feature?

To the Poetrysoup Admin Team: i have recently seen some very sexual poetry on the site, part of it has to do with recent contests, such as Dark and Twisted and ABC Sensuality. There is a disgustingly graphic sexual poem posted today called "For Better of Worse:ABC Sexuality". I truly hope underage teens are not seeing some of these poems. Your recent guidelines for appropriate poetry certainly have not been taken to heart by all. edited by Layura on 9/26/2015

What happens when an entire poem submitted for contest or a conversion of a greeting card from a poem is no longer on your on your site, and you never deleted it?

"Buried" What is buried John? Is it the Reply button? Persons comment on a poem but you cannot respond to say thank you!

Does the Soup make inquiries about "missing" members? Some poets haven't visited for months! Do we care whether they are disabled or need help we are emotion helpers are we not?

Hey Rainbow Promise. That was a Standard Contest, not a Premier Contest. Premier ones are where the cups come from.
Best, Doug

I have just spent a very pleasant hour on the friends builder site only to have it marred by foul language that didn't add to the poetry presented. I have enough trouble with this sort of thing on Facebook. I do hope that The Soup is not going to open the floodgates as well.
