Hello, Everyone

My name, is William Darnell Sr. I'm a retired carpenter, and a father of 5 grown children, 4 boys, and a beautiful daughter. My wife's passed away, 13 yrs now, so that makes me, a widower. My oldest, a son, is passed as well. I also have 6 grandchildren, 4 boys, and 2 beautiful granddaughter's. I've been writing poetry for around 20 yrs. My inspiration's God, my 7th grade English teacher, and my woodshop teacher. The greatest thing I have ever done, was married my wife, may she rest in peace, and the children she has given us. I was supposed to write a story of a tragedy that has happened to my family. But, having some difficulties. So, I'm just going to come right out and tell you. Two of my children had been raped, by a family member as some or maybe most of you might well know. My late wife's little brother done this. I hold myself responsible, most say, it wasn't my fault and I get that. But, the truth is, we knew. more to come... And, for this reason alone, that we knew, I hold responsible. I, as a father, husband, protector, and a man should have been assertive, regardless of my wife's feelings, having our children's best interest at mind, and said no, absolutely not! Ok, this is a Bio, an entry as to who I am, a briefing. I'll carry this story over to my blog. Anyways, that's me!

Best of Wishes,

William

Was A Title Chosen For The New Anthology

Out of curiosity, has there been a Title Chosen for the new anthology? Also, for the last two weeks, I have been sitting in the hospital first for severe pneumonia which is now under control. But my white blood cell count has elevated quite a bit (45,000) and they haven't a reason why or have not found a cause to what's making it so elevated. However, I am in good spirits, and my smile is still on my face and my Lord is with me. I was going to come post this a few days ago but my emotional state is a little bit crazy lately. This morning I sat looking out the window crying, and I haven't figured that out. I've been here since October 27th, maybe, and my oxygen levels fell to 51%. If you want to talk about a struggle, there you go. The day started ok, but quickly I felt it falling. It was rather chilly that morning and there I sat half naked. Then I felt the coolness and just put my thermal jacket on. I flipped the hoody up and a remarkable thing happened, something that you just don't see, but two cardinals came and sat on my hoody. Now one flew off and the other one hung around a minute. Then the other one flew back, I could hear them chirping back and forth, and then they took off. There's a flower bush that sat out front, and they came and sat in the bush for, oh, I want to say a minute just looking at me. Then flew away. It isn't something that happens quite often, and my neighbor was fumbling to get a picture but missed the chance, which is quite alright, I just thought and told them it wasn't to make or happen to be a picturesque sight. Just to be savored by the moment. Well, that's what happened to me missing in action anyway, and I am sure at some point, this experience will become a poetic journey, too! I'm definitely not out of the woods here with my white blood count so high. Prayers if you could, could help. Warm Regards, William Darnell Sr
