Ups and downs

It's been awhile since I put pen to page. I've been stuck with the ups and downs of life lately. Slowly emerging myself more with poetry. A collection of my work on the way. I wonder to myself though, am I worthy? Has technology killed the written word? Or expended it's reach? In a world of memes and emojis, will we see another Shakepeare? I'm not saying I am anyway in that league, I just find a strange freedom in poetry. So I am beginning to study once more. Working on the craft... A life of creating is a dream. Now, I may not have the talent needed, but why not try. Hold onto your dreams I say. And maybe it will become a reality. Never let your song die with you... A life filled with art is never a life wasted. With all the ups and downs we face in life, it's good to have an outlet. Remember that you are made of star stuff. So just imagine how bright you might be. Never forget that and shine
