I am a freelance writer and artist living in New England. I have articles published in Woman's Own Magazine, Parentguide News, Our Journey, Franklin Publishing, London Press, and newspapers. I have poetry published in Womankind Anthology and Our Journey. I have five poetry books published at Amazon. A series of three Nature Poetry Books titled, One With Nature in New Hampshire, Dreams With Nature and A Walk Through Nature With Heidi Sands. Update results from testing my yard since Ohio Train Derailment

I finally received the report from the expert who tested the soil in my yard for toxins since the Ohio Train Derailment. I had mentioned it at previous blogs and written poems about the experience. I am shocked to find out there are numerous chemicals including up to 20 Dioxins found. There appear to be direct matches with chemicals from the train that derailed in Ohio. This includes a chemical in the orange slime on the tree too. There is some final analysis being done in the next few days with the connections and it is probable to be on the news. Only certain news stations have kept up with covering this catastrophe. Much must be dealt with now. *Toxin result report pages are in the photo category of this blog for anyone who is interested. If you click on each image, you will see the complete list. Especially those in proximity of the derailment or on the East Coast or Northeast. Thank you.

My old realtor who knows about my property, says the property cannot be commonly sold with this extent of harmful toxins now.

Heidi, my continued prayers for you and your hearing! I agree with Andrea, and you, this is happening far to often and we are just learning the long lasting effects! The freight train company does need to accept liability and pay for clean-up along with paying for the health problems of innocent victims like yourself! Know that I continue to pray for you! Thank you Sam. That is very kind of you! Things are going very fast. Trees are dying quickly here, one near my house dying from the bottom with some orange and black on it with loss of leaves. My prior realtor says my property cannot be sold with all these toxins here. My annual doctor appt yesterday showed new symptoms of infected skin lesions, a bacterial nasal infection and small irregular shap brown spot on leg that may need biopsy. The train company is not even dealing with my state. The burn of the chemicals , creating worse chemicals and dioxins that traveled with the weather system is the issue and the Ohio Governor signed off on that burn. It is crazy. A widespread catastrophe. I hope all is well. Take care. :)

Hello Heidi, Now you know where your stomach issues come from, as well as the anemia ,esopagus reflux that you had in the hospital. Try to ge a group and then sue. I hope you can sell the house and move to a safer area.

Hi Darlene. Thank you. I did find out the toxic chemical. Phenol from Benzene from the train in the slime on my tree, does cause stomach issues, anemia and esophagus reflux that I have and had in the hospital. Dioxins that come from the burning of the chemicals cannot be broken down or removed and close to 20 kinds of dioxins in addition to the other list of chemicals were found here in the soil . So, the only safe thing to do is leave. That takes selling and money. There will need to be an attorney and knowing where to go, etc. Long process. I appreciate your input :)

Heidi I am so sorry for the findings. They have to clean it up. Your attorney general should demand the company to clean up the ill residue from the train wreck. Let me know on the progress and again I fell your pain...

The realtor said this property cannot be sold with all these toxins. Also , it was already known the 14 dioxins cannot be removed. It cannot be cleaned up. There are 9 other toxins too. A massive amount and they match the ones from the Ohio Derailment. The effects from them since the snow melted are fast. Trees dying fast from the bottom. So many without leaves and the bottoms rotting with the orange and black. The phenol from Benzene was found on prior orange slime on tree from the rain.

This is like the burn pits in Iraq. The damage came from burning the train cars filled with chemicals. In fact , I will soon be in touch with a woman doctor from CA involved in this who is helping veterans exposed to this. She will be doing free blood work too due to exposure. Apart from that somehow those responsible would have to buy out this property. Thank you for your comment. Bless you. :)

Hi. Michael. First of all, I am not.in Ohio. The burning of the toxic chemicals created a combination of chemicals and dioxins that traveled in the weather. The plume made it to Canada, but I am just over 500 miles away and affects are scattered with wind patterns. Secondly, the politicians left it up to the train company to clean up some things in Ohio and many there aren't even getting helped or properly tested by EPA. This tester who has been to over 60 disasters and. Been in the news that covers it, has helped there and he came here. Lastly, Dioxins cannot be broken down or removed. Even for over 500 years. There are cases of empty ghost towns because of it. I will continue in another comment.

Thank you Kim. There is an enormous amount of toxins. Around 10 separate chemicals and around 20 formations of the worst dioxins from the burn they did, in the soil. And toxic Phenol from the train is in the orange slime on the tree that I think I wrote about here earlier on too. I knew how sick I was in an instant from.the odor in the snow that I inhaled and my dog suddenly vomiting in snow too and lack of wildlife , etc. But it is even more than I expected! Thank you so much. I will post more info with what may happen,. Media, or other changes.

No. It is not good. I knew there were chemicals from all that happened and how sick I was from the odor in the snow, the lack of wildlife, etc But, it is way worse than expected. Around 10 different toxic chemicals and around 20 formations of the worst chemicals, dioxins from the burn they did all in the soil. Also a chemical phenol from the train in the orange slime on the tree that came with the rain. It makes me think back to the beginning. With my poem I wrote, acid rain. Thank you.
