Update on "First Time Home Buyer"

Well, I’m living the American dream. I have bought my first home. We moved in this last weekend. There is just so much to do. So many expenses I wasn’t expecting. I think we have been dreaming of buying a home for so long that now we are trying to do everything at once. We need to start pacing ourselves. Money is very tight and becoming non-existent. However I must admit that it is very nice to know that the house is mine. With all of the stress and hard work it is still nice knowing that I am investing in my own future and not throwing money down the drain. So, though there is still so much to do and the stress is overwhelming at times I am glad of the decision I have made. Now I just need to get though a month of paying all the new bills, so I can prove to myself that it can be done. At least with all the stress I have lost 25+ pounds. Not exactly the ideal way to do it but it feels nice all the same.

Congratulations, indeed!! I remember buying my 1st house, and the closing was nerve wracking- I ran out of ink with 2 pens from all the checks I had to write out. Ah, but that first feeling of accomplishment is awesome. Best of luck, tom

Hey hon, you make sure you are taking care of yourself...I do know how you feel though, with owning your own house a place to call your own.
