Time to say Goodbye -From: The Poet Destroyer

After thinking it over.
I decided to step down from the name POET DESTROYER.

This should make many of you happy,
but remember it is not the name that got me this far in the community.
It's all the time I took or take and consume it here on the soup...
Just in case you wonder why I am on top.

~passing your negative notions~

Okay back to me!!!
I have been nothing but friendly and kind, to all,
despite all the hate and bad talk and bad blogs about me.
I keep to myself, until called out.
I hang with my sister, my poetry sis Leonora, and others that are not you.
I know many of you think that I do not need your comment…
Well you know what, I am like everyone else here,
enjoying and wanting your feedback and hugs.
You never know it might change my rainy day…

Anyways~
I hope you noticed I separated myself from many of you, and will continue to do so.
The truth is, I’ve been sitting here for over 3 years, and many here on the soup,
have done nothing but pass judgment, hatred, and jealousy my way.

Getting rid of the Poet Destroyer’
name is what I am going to do for you.
However, remember the name of the “POET DESTROYER” forever.
I HOPE IT STAINS YOUR MIND!
I have done nothing to the ones I’m targeting on this blog.

I understand a few poets, and I cannot stand one another.
Well hippos and tattlers, you are right.
“Who could ever love a beast?” < ------ ((Beauty & the beast))
Well since many of you think, I do not deserve the attention I get…
Because you are far talented than I,
I am tossing the coin…
And want nothing to do with many of the faces around here.

You are right!
Why should I get my poems read or viewed?
I’m already set when it comes to comments or views.
I should not have to care what you have to say or think.
I should not value your time or opinion.

Anyways~
I will no longer turn my face and, pretend a few rejections don’t hurt or bother me.
I am beginning to love the way it makes me sick to my stomach,
--after all my feelings don’t count.

Thank you all for making a hater out of me….
Maybe in time I will forgive certain poets, after all I still have a heart.
In the meantime this is how I feel.

I am very worried about you, Linda. I read this blog only today, many months after it appeared. I am one of your true friends although I have not as kind as you in commenting your magnificent poetry. I worry not to hear any more from you, friend. We all need you. No poet destroyer, but LINDA!!

I'm sorry to hear if you have been hurt by someone, PD.....but if a name change is a fresh start, then whatever helps to chase the negative vibes away is always a good thing. There is too much pain in the world as it is, I hope people here will continue to be kind and respectful, and put away personal differences. Hope you will enjoy your new Tex-A fresh start!! :)

I guess everyone is missing the point here. I'm expressing, my new found hate. I love it, and I decided If it works for you it works for me. I have more views and comments than any other poet on here. Many of my poems alone have over 200 comments. Over 230 poets on the soup have selected me as a favorite. You missed the big picture~~ I'm not crying for comments, I'm simply saying, after many years I am tired of following poets who don't appreciate me. (( I had feelings)) This is my way of saying, don't expect much from me no more. Unless, you are the few I adore. I have moved on... I hope you do to...

i think i understand your point.There are two female poets here whom i comment on their poetry everynow and then but one hardly ever visit my poetry and anotber never did..but you know what i think..Maybe they re too busy or my poems are not their cup of tea.Maybe my intellectuality isnt enough..but there are plenty of soupers who stop by.In yourcase you.have the recotd of cpmments..so yep just ignore those who dont dare to appreciate your time taken to write..they re not worth it unless they have suitable reasons.Take car

Totally confused by this blog and responses. I'm not sure if you are leaving as a person or as a name on a page??? You've been nothing but friendly and encouraging to myself. Thank you... I have not been as faithful, and for that I apologize. I don't spend as much time on the soup as I use too.

Dear Linda/ Tex-A, ex/PD: Your poems show your real soul and I enjoy entering your contests if I have a suitable poem. You have made me feel welcome from the start and you made PS my new family. I think Freddie has a real point and I have been thinking more of that lately - of commenting on fewer people but giving real feedback instead. I think more honesty is needed in the feedback we give, or how can we grow,and if poet's don' t appreciate true critique they can always send a Soupmail And say "stop Please."instead of a blanket "love your poem."

I have a confession. Linda, I’m one of the poets you are targeting RIGHT! I have not been a good friend. like before. I removed you off my favorite poet list out of anger not jealousy. Shame on me! You had three simple contest in which I entered. None of my poems made your list. I felt you are mad at me, and disqualified my poems purposely. I read your comments on the bottom. I am half English, therefore do not recognise the word surrender and agree wholeheartedly with my George Cross Island friend below. I will, of course, accept whatever decision you make. Sorry Eileen, i did not read the poem... i have not stopped by your pages at all... unless it is a contest win. i have stayed away, because I did feel a little hurt in someways. That is the truth, but this blog is not about you.. I am honest. I have been selfish, and ugly and I will not even read or respond to certain poets soup-mail~~ About the contest. My sister and daughter Royal have been closing my contest. I have been in jittery moods all week long, and I specifically told my sister, to band any poem with names on them. Unless they think it is very good.

Oh Linda..I'm going to ask you point blank if I'm in this group! :( Is that why you didn't post a comment on the Limerick I wrote about you...To Bring PD a Smile? To be honest...that sort of got to me and I was sad that I didn't place at all in two of your contests that I joined...That's just me! :( I'm sorry you feel this way. I truly am. The reasons you give are valid ones for feeling that way. I'm sorry if I have added to your pain in any way. EVERYONE here knows who you are. Your name appears on every single list everywhere and always at the top! I guess people presume that you know how good you are! No excuse! You've been very kind with the newcomers.
