Wow! Some very beautiful and amazing entries. What can I say? Thank you to those who took part in the contest.
I loved the different approaches to the theme and the imagery.
For this contest and any I set in future, I'd like to give everyone who takes the time and effort to enter an opportunity to have their work read and further known in the PS community.
With that in mind, any poems that felt like they didn't keep to the theme have received "honourable mentions". Because the poems I read are still very good and it would be a shame for them to be missed.
The reason for this choice is because the poetry we read is inspiring. They can trigger ideas for us when creating our own works. Also, recieving N/A's can be very discouraging for amateurs like myself who simply want to have a go and enjoy the poetry and the contests for the fun and the improvement of our own growth as poets. It's not to take away from the competition hence the numbered placements.
Thank you again to all who entered and ALL 35 entries can be enjoyed by you all.
