I have completed my first sponsered contest, 'Still the One,' and I just want to thank everyone who took the time to compose and enter a poem. I have a whole new appreciation for how truly difficult judging is - there were many very good poems and I wanted to place many more - the next time I sponser a contest, I will allow for many more placements! However, there were some entries that had to be disqualified because they did not follow the parameters; i.e. were too long, did not mention the number of years, or were not in couplet form, etc - but I want to reiterate how grateful I am to everyone who entered, and thank you to the other sponsers who so often give me a creative push when I need one!
