Hellooooo.. all my soup friends!!! Here I give you the winning poems of the contest - Sketch a character! Had a lovely time reading your work. The depiction of the Characters you chose - human and nonhuman.. were all so beautifully done, some pleasingly delightful, some sombre in mood, but all did a tremendous job... I'd request, please, when anyone judges, let them judge as they wish to, I've never questioned anybody about my placements. and I don't like my decisions being questioned, gautami

Hi again soupers, an issue has been brought to my notice regarding the results. Why I placed Brenda 5th..!!!! I've been questioned!!! Well her place was 2nd all along,, but going by what I asked for, which many complied with..(a character portrayal, that would transfer the reader to a state of exuberant elation).. I really didn't ask for sad/ sorrowful poems in this contest , if you noticed..So I was compelled to make some changes in the final positioning. Brenda, if you can believe me, to me it is an excellently written piece.. That's all I'll say, I cannot explain now 'bout why I placed the poems where I did, can I,, or shd I?

Gautami, you have always been Kind and respectful to me and sometimes we all do things we regret. I have also done this in the short time I have been here, but we are the keepers of our characters and we must at least try in a community to understand and respect everyone else. I have not been here long and don't know what you have done to act oddly but only you can change that. There are a lot of wonderful people here.

Brenda I can't tell you, how great a relief that is, hearing it from you.. I don't care about what others might say, but it did matter to matter how you felt! I have to thank you too for reading my poems and for your kind remarks on them, I've not commented or reciprocated on a single poem here for almost months together.. I simply disappear! I myself don't know why these days I behave so oddly here.. Some confession!!!:)) Love you...

Gautami, I am not sad. I am happy you placed me. You are right, it does ask for happy. As for my poem, as I started writing I was inspired to write it how it is and am thankful you placed me and thank you for telling me it was excellent. I shall take this as a compliment for a poem my heart is very drawn to. I also take it as a compliment that other dear people also have been drawn to it and thank them for their honest opinions of my poem.

You're welcome sweetie,, your poem so deserved to win,, You know when I began writing, not that I've written very many,, but I began with such poems.. rabbit poems,, snow poems and kids out playing,, I remember a wicked witch poem :)) Don't stop writing,, what you feel most write that, and write from your heart!
