Recognition of new poetry forms

Several poetry forms await recognition on this site, a few being ~

Constanza (invented by Connie Marcum Wong)

Swap Quatrain

Rondine

Quietus (I've written several hundred and so have others)

I'm sure there are many more ...

it helps to classify a Rondine as a Rondine and not a Rondeau and the same for other poetry forms as well, which are being regularly employed. Perhaps PS team should work on this.

OH YES, I so agree. I know one of my forms is listed in that place where new forms are shown; however, it's hard to find that place on Soup and if one of our new forms is ever used in a contest, we are not able to click on it to show we are using it. For sure, Constanza, Quietus, Swap Quatrain, and others you listed need to be on there. My form Andaree is not a really popular one, but the ones being represented a lot should definitely be options for us to click for contests.

All the forms lol you've mentioned, Seeker AND Edward, are and have been used by many poets on the site. It's long past time that they be recognized as legitimate poetic forms, at the very least on Poetry Soup's site.

I agree. The Constanza should be recognised as a full fledged new poetic form as it does conform to the rules. It is a pitty that the New Forms by Members site was taken down. Perhaps because of infringement of the rules by some members? Maybe a catch-all French poetic form title would suffice as there are many, including Rondine ...

I can't find it. It is not under Poetry Forms, but mine was still under my Members Area (just under My Articles). Don't worry, I've made a note of yours as I found it interesting.

Was it taken down??? I remember searching for it a while back and I finally managed to find it, but it was really hard for me to find it. So it's actually been removed now?

Hmm, I thought Connie's Constanza was already included? I hope they include your amazing form, Seeker. I've written more than a hundred poems in "Yalto" form. I invented it almost 6 years ago and it has been used by several poets ever since. Contests have been sponsored using the form. I included quite a few in my published poetry book as well. Personally, I think it's time TPS officially includes the form to the site.
