PS software censoring words

Let's look at the word SNIGGER ~ dictionary meaning 'laugh in a half-suppressed, typically scornful way'.

I was forced to misspell it as sniggr in my poem 'Religious fundamentalism' because the word kep getting censored by PS software.

Anyone else face this type of problem?

In a world that pmotes murder of the unborn and any sexual acts…Hey, I couldn’t even print a cat breed. Antway, I think there should be zero censorship. There are religiously based poetry sites for those fearful of some words. Famous poets used offensive words… TV blanks out words also. TV hosts lose shows.. outrageous ..I am not 7 years old.::horse…hockey. Panagiota

Micro-aggression is imagined under every rock. Not a good situation. I object to that word…..but then everyone would be censoring one another.

censorship is out of control everywhere these days, so that is no surprise. Can you imagine the guy today who wrote the owl and the pussycat trying to get his poem online? Good luck. Yeah, it happens to me once in a great while here too

Seeker, I have also in a recent poem when I wanted to write about a very pretty bird called a blue T.I.T. bird, well you can imagine , PS software did not want any part of that, lol !

Yes, as I had commented on a previous blog. I have used a word once that is only deemed to be offensive in the USA and nowhere else in the world - it is also found in the Bible. PS censored it. But, when words are deemed to be sensitive by other cultures in the world, but not by all (especially in the USA) they escape censorship. I don't hold with profanity and as such, I embrace censorship as I wish to read for my enjoyment. Your case seems to take the cake, though.
