:) One of my favorite verses, Christine, I John 5: 12 "Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life." It's just that simple. Of course, I do believe in God's mercy, and I believe that he has revealed his truth to everyone so that man is "without excuse". If a person lives according to the dictates of his conscience...and is of another faith....another religion....another belief system...will God reject him? Thank God that he is the judge. We can leave it all to him...The test of a true believer? I John 3: 14- "We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love each other." We need to reveal His love. It's that simple. Thanks for the blog.

This is in response to Cate's discussion below.I believe that being loved by God is not a passport for wrong doing. For example, If a mother or father love his or her child and that child is doing something bad, and each time the parent cautioned and counsel the child and that child doesn’t listen, the child goes back and commit same act over and over again. A parent would find some strategy to curb that child’s behavior. That strategy could be in the form of punishment (denial of something, time-out, grounded or even community service. Whatever the case is some action must be taken. Likewise God love his people and he corrects us because he loves us. Some corrections are light depending on the nature of offence and some can be severe until those. This is meant to bring the individual to repentance.

We can turn that question around...can't we? Would we who are loving....not mete out punishment to someone who is a menace to society, who is a serial killer, who rapes and tortures without impunity. Would we out of love say....go on....be free...do what you like. NO...we incarcerate him and at times....take his life. (I'm not saying my thoughts of capital punishment here) Love...is married to justice. They coexist. I'm just thankful that God is merciful and he knows the REAL motives...Just my thoughts. Thanks for asking. Cate...I was a bit disappointed you removed your blog...I hope it wasn't on account of me.

WOW! Ok...here goes....I don't believe in an eternal hell. The Bible says that the fire and destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah went on FOREVER....Is it still burning today? No...Hell is temporary. It is more of a cleansing process....to rid the world of those who HOLD ON TO SIN! God doesn't SEND people to hell. They CHOOSE to go there...Hell...REAL HELL..is an eternal separation from God. That's what I believe anyway....

Yes...John says it well...GOD IS LOVE. That is the essence of true Christianity. I was going to post a poem on this....but...I just couldn't muster the strength needed...Sometimes...no one will listen, my dear. One can only try...and make sure that love is revealed in one's own acts and words first. :) Thanks for the blog...God bless.

Thank you my dear. The problems that many people harbor in their lives are many, they include hatred, un-forgiveness, jealousy, revenge and dishonesty. Life is more that eating and drinking and having ones stomach full...its about caring for one another. Every religion even though they may have different principles but they share one common theme LOVE looking out for the poor and needy, it talks about taking care of the strangers, meaning the Aliens or foreigners that live in their land. Some people cannot love because their goal is to destroy which is why God sometimes have to pour out his wrath and indignation upon the earth so that mankind can alter their wicked ways and embrace truth and love in their heart.
