I wanted to start my first blog by thanking all of you. I posted my first poem at the insistance of a friend. The comments I have received have been lovely. I have alway loved writing . I do not pretend to be a poet by any means, I am just a gal who writes poetry.
I also want to say that I have read some wonderful poems since I joined. What an incredibly talented group you are ! Thanks again for the warm welcome, I am looking forward to getting to know you all. Pat

Welcome, Pat! I was born in Montreal, lived in Lachenaie, QC til I was an early teen and then moved back to Montreal for another year. I've been in Ontario every since. I vacationed in the Sherbrooke area I believe as a child. Two names come to mind: Magog and Rawdon... both bring happy memories. I think it was the Magog area that I wondered a wood and found a spring and drank and drank the most delicious cold water---til I was sick. I love teapots, too, and we frequent a teashop in our area for our favorite rooibos blends. I started out here saying I tinker with poems, but I wouldn't call myself a poet. I now see myself as a hybrid - a poet/fiction writer. Soup let me grow! Hugs to you :)
