Timothy Hicks Biography

My name is Timothy Hicks, and I've been writing for 5 years now, since I was 13. My main hobbies include writing, playing my piano, origami and bicycling.

I'm a bit OCD about some things and some would refer to me as a nervous pacer. I like to do outdoor activities, but at the same enjoy my alone time where I can sit and write. I'm a very avid reader and enjoy several different genres: horror, science-fiction, fantasy, and mysteries such as Sherlock Holmes.

I've had several different jobs including shakerboarder, pizza-make and cotton candy maker-and-distributor.

I like to think of myself as someone that can fit into almost any crowd and I always try to stay on the bright side of things. I swear very little and hardly ever get mad at people. I believe spreading smiles is a much better practice than sharing negativity...

Wishing you all the very best my friend! Drive with care. This exodus and epic journey call for a haibun or a narrative, once you're settled in:) Hopefully your plans will meet fruition! ~ Regards // paul

Thanks Paul. Those are great suggestions ... love me some haibun :) I've often thought about keeping a journal, but I could never remember to keep filling it in. Won't be gone too long, my friend!

Thanks for the update Timothy: You will be missed around here for sure. Good Luck and safe travels until we meet again. If I go reading your poems and leaving comments don't feel pressure to respond. Enjoy your freedom on the road...I am sure there will be lots of new inspiration for poems. Maybe even a field of sunflowers. Hugs, SuZ

A field of sunflowers, I think, would be something special. Thanks Suz. Change often encourages inspiration ... you'll be seeing me again before long, I imagine :)

Good luck on the trip and I'm sure you will land firmly on your two feet. There are many things similar to the ballparks that you can do as well like auto races or music venues and in the fall the Falcons football games.

Those are some great suggestions, Tim. I've considered working for the football season, too, since it starts right as baseball season ends.

this all makes me very curious to know things , like why RV life? Why Georgia? Why a baseball stadium? And is that a sure thing already? You are sure an interesting youngster (which I am allowed to say at my age!!!) My best wishes to you, Timothy.

Thanks for the well wishes, my friend :) The RV is drive-able, but for the most part it will stay put.

My brother, his wife, and my two nieces live over in Georgia, and they are both 18 months and younger. He has a 13 acre field, as well as an RV that I can live in. It's too get closer to family, is the reason. I've worked at a Baseball Stadium here for a few years now, and I was really well liked, so I'm thinking of doing it again, but over there. I'll Soup Mail you with greater details :)

Haha ... very true Stephen! The perspective on road trips is very different in the UK, than in the US. When I was over there a couple hour drive was considered "incredibly long" ... thanks for the good wishes, my friend!
