Dear Poetry Soup,

Well, I was resisting blogging, but y'all made it irresistible to me.

So I have a few things I wanna say.

First:

Thanks for always being here.  The time that I've spent on this site over the past nearly decade I guess have enriched me more than I can express.

Second:

It is SOOOOOOOO freakin' COOL that you featured my 6 or 7 year old poem entitled "Ode to a Virgo Mom on the Occasion of her Birthday" the very same week she turned 79.  I hadn't thought about that poem in a long time and when I read it to her this morning, she wanted me to read it to her again and then I e-mailed it to her.  She e-mailed back that she had printed and saved it.

Third:

If you haven't figured it out yet, I just wanna make it explicit that y'all ROCK!!!
