Contest prize photos up

Blog Posted by Painted Hunter: 10/1/2013 11:43:00 AM
Ok, some of y'all asked if I could post pictures of the walking stick that I offered as a prize for my first contest. I couldn't figure out how to upload the photos directly to the blog page, but I did put some up in the 'My Photos' section of my blog. So just click on my photos and you can see the prize that I will be sending Andrea. Hers is the stick with the face on it. I also put up a couple of pics of other woodworking I do ... there's a cane and an end-table pic up. Also, just for a laugh ... because I crack up every single time I look at them ... I posted some pics of my kids during homecoming week. I don't know how it is where y'all are from, but here, the kids dress up a certain way each day of the week. One particular day was nerd day ... I know that's horrible ... but oh, lord it's so funny to see what those kids come to school in. Mine were especially nerdy. In the one where they are together, I told them to give me a nerd face before I took the picture...haha. There's another one of my son by himself at the lunchroom table that I call the Buddy Holly picture. Anyhow, just thought it was fun. And the stick ... I'm no master carver or anything, but I enjoy it, and some turn out fairly nice. I sure hope Andrea likes it!!

First of all your kids are adorable!! So funny are those nerd pictures...!! So cute, and bet they won a prize...or at least should have!! Your wood carvings are terrific, Caleb.......what a great prize for Andrea.....I love pieces like that, made out of nature! We have a mountain cabin, and a few pieces of furniture, (tables, benches, headboards etc) that my husband and brother have made out of pine...are very much like what you do. What a great hobby to go along with your poetry !! She will love it!
