Clarification of My Name!

Hey everyone... Well, my full name is SYED AMAAN AHMAD, but as I have noticed, people think that Syed is my name and they keep calling me Syed. Actually, my real name is AMAAN.
This "Syed" is just a title...it is Arabic, and if we translate this in English (literal translation), it means SIR (Or Lord/Master). so, it is like Sir Amaan Ahmad. Syed represents Royal Blood, which is a direct lineage of Islamic Prophet Muhammad; it is like some honorific title...
So, I request everyone to call me AMAAN and not Syed because it is like "Sir"...and I like being called Amaan, with my name :)
Glance at History (Historical Reference Wikipedia):The history of Sayyids or Syeds in South Asia dates back to more than 1000 years ago. Several Syeds visited India as merchants along with the general Arab traders or mostly escaping from Abbasid, Umayyad and Ottoman empires. They also ruled over India during the Delhi Sultanate during the short-lived period of 1414-1451.Their name again figures in Indian history at the break up of the Mughal empire, when the Syed Brothers created and dethroned Emperors at their will (1714–1720). The first Mahommedans appointed to the Council of India and the first appointed to the Privy Council were both Syeds.
