Just to say to those who kindly support my contests..
My sponsored contests are always ANY FORM ,ANY THEME max of 25 lines
I follow the PS advice to sponsors namely:
I do not read any poem that has the poets name thereon...then..
I judge entries as they are entered, those that appeal are immediately transferred to round 2 there and then..
later I re- read round 2 and transfer those that still appeal to winner round( just 10 if it is a premier)
When the contest is closed I re-read to sort the winners into placings
I try to do this without delay..
as my contests are all judged blind(I don't read poetry elsewhere other than entries to my contest's)...and neither do I look and search by poem titles to find authors thereof
I have been here for 10 years+ and can honestly say I would not be able to recognise the style of any poets ,as my contests are any form, my experience has been that I have found folk here write in many forms
I am as eager as the contestants to know who the podium winners are and who has placed where and only find out when I check the Contest status link
I do not make any further comments on why I placed a poem as I did.
I prefer to get another contest available and spend my time only reading poetry entered in my contests (over 290 now and counting) and (blogging about poetry on a regular basis)
