It has been said an artist is a person who is in love all his life.Whilst some famous painters were falling rapidly in and out of love,rarely did they fall out of love with their art.Poetry too, can be the same,an all consuming passion,with its highs and lows,but still its attraction calls

So true Brian, My own poetry is a passion. Even as poor in writing skills as is. Sort of like being hungry, the hunger is there regardless the quality of the results. Smile. Agape, Moses

oh I like that saying Brian.. falling in luv with ones poetry is an expression and an emotion parallel to loving the Creator Himself...for all words come from HIM... in my opinion.. congrats on another wonderful contest with luv theme.. congrats to many winners so wonderful and special thankxx for my HM for "Romantic Rhythm"..

The total love has come late in life for me but I think that it was there but had had to be put on hold because of home and family..I am so glad that I found PoetrySoup..I wrote a poem for your last contest but was too late in posting it..The title:"Love Touches Gently"...You might like to write a poem for my current contest if you have not already..Sara

I know this to be true. How many times have I tried to put my poetry aside to work on my novel, only to find myself back- writing poetry? Elaine

How true, Brian. Our muses may hide now and then, but our love for poetry never ends. I think you have to have a sense of "love" in order to write good poetry. Best wishes, Carolyn
