Fictitious Person Contest Update!

So far 7 of the 23 entered poems in my contest will most likely be moving on from here...good luck to the future contestants!!! I have to say it like this because I have a problem: I'M ADDICTED TO THE OLYMPICS! It's on ALL THE TIME! And I'm doing my damndest to live my life and avoid the living room where the tv is and most likely some 18-year-ol from Anywhere'sville just did a triple-dipple jump flip off the ice luge ramp mountain and stunned the world...while I was staying away... It's so cold in Hawaii. Just like Vancouver.

It's cold in Hawaii???? YOu should see Utah this year. One of the mildest winters in this decade!!

I can't stop watching either, Matt. Did you see the Korean women's speed skating team get disqualified? And watching the US Hockey Team beat Switzerland 2-0 was a blast. Okay, so I'm addicted too! I haven't been able to come up with a poem for your contest and I can see the competition is stiff. Good luck to all who enter! Love, Carolyn

Many of us are glued to the television during these last couple of weeks.....I too, have been away from the computer because of the olympics. Hence, my poetry is lacking! Oh dear...choices ...difficult choices....now that's showing how living in this land of technology, we are so spoiled aren't we. But isn't it great watching :) !!??

I just saw your BIO, Matt! What a hunk! (I can say that because I am an old lady...lol) Besides good looks, you are a talented writer to boot! And the topping on the "Matt Caliri Cake" is your job...teaching special needs kids. You are definitely a young man of blessings...giving and receiving...for and from God. Smiles. Now, for a few questions. What do you mean by 7 are moving on...? Are they moving on to a better ranking in the contest? Are they moving on to the stack of already read entries? Oh No..cold in Hawaii? my dream is busted! know what u mean about the Olympics Matt.. I luv sports of all kinds so I get quite addicted myself... thankxx for your blog comment on my poetry blog.. appreciated.. your contest was a nice surprise ..a unique challenge...good luck in judging it... and thankxxx for being so dedicated to all the contests u have already sponsored...
