Poet Tony Walsh brought a crowd of thousands in Manchester (England)to silence with his powerful words about the beauty of the vibrant city which survived an atrocious terror attack on Monday (22 May) night.

I agree with Frederic down here.the poem has a strong sense of community and that is what will see them through. Crazy people are making people feel scared world wide. it's tragic what people have to live with in a "civilized" world.

Chum, I only just learned of this & I am so saddened by this despicable act of violence. The poem is beautiful... I tried to hear it but my computer wouldn't open that file... I read it and was moved by its power and it's purity. I'm not sure if you live in Manchester or how close you are physically to where this happened (I know emotionally, you are RIGHT THERE.) As I said just a few days ago, poets are CALLED to be the voice of their people, to cry for and to cry out against. I know this poem was originally written for fund-raising, but it was still a passionate plea for action and recognition and a TESTIMONY. We are living in a world that has forgotten its humanity. Thinking of you!

I read the whole poem and after reading it gave me a strong sense of community..I have one other thought because I think words matter I think we should stop calling them terrorist and start calling them baby killers because that's what they are.Strip them of the name they want and call them what they are..Instead of Isis or whatever for now on I'm going to say the Baby Killers set off a bomb,the Baby Killers attack a city.Not a name they can glorify rather a name they would hate, see how many flock to there cause then..sorry for the rant Brian but I'm angry.

The image of the 8 year old girl who was brutally murdered in Manchester will always haunt me as she reminds me of the child of a friend - baby killers is a good name for them Frederic :-( hugs jan xx

What is wrong with extremist or terrorists if that is what they are, and if they are born from radical clerics or priests or ministers or any leader of any church it is incumbent upon us to call a spade a spade and put a stop to this!!

Even better than baby killers? Two come to mind: DEFILERS OF ALLAH, and THOSE WHO ARE ANTI-MUHAMMAD. They would not hate baby-killers. They do not see killing the offspring of their enemies as wrong. But...to even suggest they are defiling their religion?
