Dear soupers,

First of all, Thank you for being so kind and for the warm welcome here on soup. It has been a pleasure reading so many talented poets and writers and thank you to the Silent One and Tom Woody for introducing me to poetry soup and for encouraging me to join.

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself and my poetry journey.

I was on Instagram as @bleedingink_mistress, but that account was unjustly disabled by Instagram. I had a huge follower base, and a lot of supporters, as i manage two poetry communities on Instagram. And my current account on instagram is @theempressofink (which was also disabled but is now back again) I am taking a short break from there.

One of the community is called “ @poets_island and the other community is called @altpoetryprompts which is a platform which I manage with the Silent One.

It was created with the aims to support and inspire poets and writers, through various methods like flash prompts and monthly word prompts.

It has been a huge success and we are blessed with a great community of poets.

You may have noticed a number of new poets who have also joined Poetry Soup from these two communities. I hope they enjoy this platform in the same was as you all do.

I am also published, and my book is on amazon “Satanic Seas Don’t define me” by Ink Mistress

I have set up my first contest on soup, and I am excited to read and get to know you all better. Also to get a better understanding on how contests work!

It would be nice to read a little about you, feel free to comment and lets support one another.

Keep poetry always alive.

For now, I’m extremely happy and pleased to be accepted by this talented community, thank you all for all the support..

Ink Empress, already you have contributed so much to PS, you've sponsored contests, you've encouraged and supported many poets here with refreshing comments and in only a month! Please continue and there are always those who will support you. This world already is a weak place, full of hate and greed, we as poets can only try spread kindness and forgiveness. Silent One is a he, he is a great mentor yes, and i am not a doctor i am a psychologist, but it can be confusing for some. I don’t even know how long it’s been since we first connected, but I know from the moment we messaged, I felt a connection immediately and that (you know) is so rare for me. Dearest Ink, I still remember how around 1.5 years back, you found my poem written for @altpoetryprompts and that's when the whole journey began. Both the communities,Poet's Island and alt have acted as a catalyst for all the growth & support I received on IG,which I'm very grateful for. Even then too, I always admired your kindness and your artistic talent of weaving words in the most profound way! Nice to meet you Ink, hope you enjoy your journey on Poetry Soup. I have been a member of PS for years and have been writing since I could hold a pen it seems. I write mostly sad poems, I suppose you could call me a graveyard poet, but I also like writing of nature, or telling a story and even funny poems sometimes. And i can see you are very experienced. I was a darker poet, although now not so dark. Instagram has many dark poets but i dont see many dark writers here. It is a dream come true that you, Subhadra, Michelle, Hiya, etal have graced Poetry Soup with your presence. For those who may not be aware, Instagram has been a breeding ground of sorts for neo poetry. Whether you like the Rupi Kaurs of the world or not, Instagram has spawned a number of hot new poets who are published and have huge followings. I spent a few years there and had the privilege of corresponding with a handful of these folks. Instagram and Facebook have their issues, for sure. For one thing, despite huge numbers (followers) relatively few actively engage. Poetry Soup is a smaller community and it's a little easier to get to know each other. Welcome Inky. We luv ya

And instagram algorithm can be tricky yes which is why hosting prompts help us there to connect more with others. Instagram has many talented poets too, although a bit different to what we find on soup I noticed. Im so happy to be here. Thank you for all your support

I am so happy that you are here, you created such a large following and two creative communities on Instagram and I am sure you can spread your philosophy on here also.
